THE FRUIT TREE
About us
The Fruit Tree is an independent literary journal created by and for LGBT+ people from around the world. We release new issues quarterly.
The Fruit Tree is a space for queer people and the art that they create. We are unapologetically LGBT+ and queer, and we only publish work by LGBT+ writers and artists. We especially appreciate work by people of color, people of religious minorities, and disabled and mentally ill people. Many of our editors are members of these communities, and we believe that it is necessary to highlight and uplift the voices of marginalized people.
We have published three issues over the last year. Our issues will always be free in PDF form, and printed versions can also be purchased. Most of the cost is printing– any extra money goes directly to editors.

The deadline to submit to our next issue is August 1st. The theme is JOY. More information on this can be found on the SUBMIT tab above.
